Bio

Reese Witherspoon is an Oscar winning actress and film producer.

Her career has really taken off over the past decade with roles in major movies: Overnight Delivery, Pleasantville and Legally Blonde.

Her role in Election earned her a Golden Globe nomination and her 2001 role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde proved that she's box office gold. Her 2005 portrayal of June Carter Cash in Walk the Line earned the blonde a Golden Globe, BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress.

But life hasn't been nothing but rosy. When Reese was dating Ryan Phillippe she got knocked up. The two got married in 1999 and have two children, Ava and Deacon. The couple had many problems and were in counselling when they split in 2006 and divorced in 2007. Ryan was allegedly cheating on Reese with an Australian actress - the two are still dating.

Reese has also fought with the paparazzi and lost!

However, her advocacy includes being actively involved in children and women's advocacy organizations. Reese serves  on the board of the Children's Defense Fund, and was named Global Ambassador of Avon Products in 2007, serving as honorary chair of the charitable Avon Foundation. She has also blasted Jessica Simpson for playing a dumb blonde.

Reese has been dating Jake Gyllenhaal and the two are destined to marry each other. Just wait and see.
