Ryan Seacrest is an Emmy Award-nominated host of American Idol, a radio host, television producer, and entrepreneur.
Ryan Seacrest's mother is a homemaker and his father is an attorney. Ryan also has a younger sister, Meredith, and is of Swiss descent.
At a young age, Ryan already knew what he was destined for. He would spend time in his room pretending to broadcast radio shows. He idolized radio personalities like Dick Clark and hosted the morning announcements at his high school.
While in high school, Ryan became a staff writer for his school paper, a member of the model UN club and captain of the swim team.
Ryan then went on to the University of Georgia in the fall of 1993 where he hosted his first radio show at a local station.
A fire had already been lit under his a*s, though, and he moved to Hollywood to continue his broadcasting career.
Since becoming a soCal resident, Seacrest has hosted American Idol, E! News on the E! cable station and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC. Ryan also has a popular radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, that is now syndicated throughout the United States. He also plays DJ for the American Top 40 on Saturdays.
Ryan's creative vision and brand has grown exponentially. He is the producer of hits such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Denise Richards: It's Complicated, NBC's Momma's Boys and MTV's Bromance.
