Samantha Ronson Bio

Samantha Ronson is an English singer-songwriter and disc jockey. Samantha was born into a family with wealth and talent. Her late father Mick Ronson was a guitarist, her brother DJ Mark Ronson is a singer/songwriter/ guitarist, and her sister Charlotte Ronson is a fashion designer.

Samantha's musical household has guided her career path.

She wrote poetry and songs as a teenager and began DJing around the city.

When she was only 16, she was in a rap band called the Low Lifes; and at the age of 19, SamRo recruited her friends to join her in a band. Their concerts and demos won Ronson fans such as Duncan Sheik and she was the first rock artist to be signed to Roc-a-Fella records!

She released a self-titled album in the summer 2004. But that didn't go so well... so Sam returned to DJing.

She spun live for MTV's New Year's Eve 2001 show from the network's studios in Times Square. In 2004 she opened for JC Chasez on his Schizophrenic tour.
