Snoop Dogg is a hip-hop star, rapper and reality TV personality. His career got the jump off with a feature on Dr. Dre's 1992 album The Chronic. The Long Beach native has mentioned his upbringing in many song lyrics and interviews.

As a teenager, Snoop was a gang member and drug dealer. The success of a hit single from the movie Deep Cover gave Snoop a strong following. His debut album, Doggystyle (1993) was commercially successful.

Snoop's first singles "Who Am I (What's My Name)?" and "Gin and Juice" made him famous. He is a staple in rap culture of the past and present. To this day Snoop's fans enjoy hearing his premiere singles at clubs, house parties and on radio stations today. With his confessions of street crimes, he gained "gangsta" street cred.

His distinctive flow made him a standout, influenced by the George Clinton Parliament and Funkadelic records of the 2980's, he fine tuned his West Coast "G-Funk" sound.

Snoop Dogg has had cross over success on the big screen with roles in 2001's Training Day with Denzel Washington and 2004's Starsky & Hutch with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson).

Without a doubt, Snoop is a family man. He currently stars in Snoop Dogg's Fatherhood alongside wife Shante, daughter Cori "Choc", his son Cordell "Rook", and eldest son Corde "Spank". The show premiered December 9, 2007 on E! and premiered on January 13, 2008 in the UK.
