Tori Spelling is the unattractive but talented actress with the bad plastic surgery and annoying mother, Candy Spelling, whom she hates. Tori is the beneficiary of nepotism. Her father, Aaron, was a major player in Hollywood and produced some iconic television shows, one of those being Beverly Hills 90210 in which Tori played Donna Martin in the 1990s.
The alleged homewrecker's book Her Stori Telling was on the New York Times Best Seller list. She's gone on to write a second book and has returned to act in the remake of 90210. Sounds like progress and growth to me!
