Tyra Banks Bio
Tyra Banks is a model, self-absorbed television host, actress and businesswoman.
She began modeling when she was in the 11th grade. Designers loved Tyra's beauty and talent so much that she was booked for 25 shows, a record in the business for a newbie!
Surprisingly Tyra was accepted by USC and UCLA for television producing.
Tyra became a famous model in Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo and New York, but television appearances were her commercial breakthrough. Ms. Banks has done print or runway work for pretty much everyone and was the first African American woman on GQ and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue! In 1997 Tyra became the first African-American chosen for the cover of a Victoria's Secret catalog. Who knew?!
Tyra created reality competition show America's Next Top Model and is the co-creator of True Beauty. She has also appeared on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and in various movies.
The conceited and annoying Ty Ty also hosts The Tyra Banks Show. She's annoying, but she does tackle very controversial, sensitive and relevant topics and she's a host who asks thought provoking questions.
Tyra Banks walked her final runway at the 2005 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
