Adam Lambert promised to be real years ago and he's kept his word. A fan of Les Miserables for a long time, Lambert slammed the casting, claiming that Les Miserables stars are "pretending to be singers." His critique was not geared towards Anne Hathaway, Helena B Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen.

- Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers.

- And I do think it was cool they were singing live- but with that cast, they should have studio recorded and sweetened the vocals.
- I felt like I should ignore the vocals and focus on the emotional subtext- but the singing was so distracting at times it pulled me out.
- The industry will say "these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live"but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?
- One more clarification: DO go see it for Anne Hathaways performance. It's was breathtaking.
I haven't seen the movie yet but I've heard from friends and family that Russell Crowe stinks up the film with his crappy vocals. Russell Tweeted: "I don't disagree with Adam."
