Well, we’re one step closer to the Courtney Robertson, Ben Flajnik engagement that everyone knows is coming. Ben made his second-to-last elimination on last night’s episode of The Bachelor, bringing him one step closer to putting a ring on maneater Courtney, who’s been manipulating him since the season premiere.

Nicki Sterling got the boot last night, and Lindzi Cox could still pull off on an upset, but as always, Courtney made all the right moves to ensure she’d claim the big prize of major national media exposure Ben’s hand in marriage.

Ben’s been warned about Courtney’s conniving ways by everyone from other contestants to Ellen DeGeneres, but she’s handled the criticisms deftly and being cautioned away seems to have only pushed him closer to the show’s resident villain. We’re giving 30-1 odds on Courtney, if anyone wants to put some money on it. Sorry, Lindz. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

So we know that Ben Flajnik proposes to someone at the end of this season of The Bachelor, and we know that that someone is probably Courtney Robertson. Now, it seems Courtney has lived up to her reputation by dumping Ben as soon as the spotlight cooled off.

“They’ve totally cooled off,” a source tells Life & Style magazine. “They often go five to six days without talking. He doesn’t call her, he doesn’t text. She keeps saying, ‘What kind of a fiance is this?’” Yes, hard to believe, but the source claims Ben is the one acting like a d-bag. Well, appearing on The Bachelor does tend to turn regular guys into world-class a-holes.

The source goes on to say that Ben has been using his post-Bachelor fame to pick up random girls and he even revealed to one that his engagement is already off. Needless to say, image-conscious Courtney isn’t thrilled with being publicly humiliated this way. “She knows he’s running around New York with other girls and he’s over her; he’s not even calling her,” says a source. “She thinks he’s a coward.”

Ben Flajnik is a San Francisco-based winemaker, and as his city and occupation might suggest, dude has no problem getting naked in public. Even if there happen to be a few TV cameras around. According to The Bachelor host Chris Harrison, fans may end up seeing more of Ben than they expected when they tune into the ABC show this season.

“It’s a very nude season,” says Harrison. “Ben is comfortable in his own skin. He doesn’t have modesty issues.”

For his part, Ben’s been more open to discussing the competition between the girls than his own nudity. “Obviously with a situation like this, the claws are going to come out,” he said in a recent interview. “And they came out a lot earlier than I would’ve expected.” Dude, with all those  sharp claws flying around, you might wanna pull your pants up. Just sayin’.
