Star Magazine is reporting that Simon Cowell asked Demi Lovato to lose 20 pounds. This is Star though, so take this news with a grain of salt.

An insider reports that Simon thinks Demi has gotten way too big since the season two finale and wants her to lose some weight,

“Simon doesn’t expect Demi to be supermodel skinny, but he does want her to look like she’s in shape. He’s set a weight-loss goal of 20 lbs. for Demi and asked her to work hard on it through the spring and summer.”

If this is true, then Simon is an absolutely @sshole. Everyone knows that Demi has been struggling with her body image and to ask her to lose weight, when in reality she looks completely fine, is outrageous.

But, apparently, Simon is aware of her body image issues and wants to make sure she loses weight in a healthy way. Seriously, if he really wants to help he’ll start with himself and leave Demi alone, she looks great the way she is.

LA Reid was a great judge and Demi Lovato was an exceptional one as well. The feisty 20-year-old is returning to the judging panel for season 3 of The X Factor. Now that’s a huge accomplishment considering that Simon Cowell loves to fire everyone!

Fox says: “Lovato, the youngest judge and mentor to the Young Adults category, brought a fresh perspective to the panel and won over legions of THE X FACTOR fans with her playful banter, spot-on critiques and genuine encouragement.”

Cowell says he “couldn’t be happier” that Demi wants to return. He adds:

“Even though she can be really, really annoying – I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists. I’m especially pleased she’s back, even during her world tour!”

Lovato hopes to take her “previous experience and applying it to make this season even better.” Demi is such a natural mentor and critic. She’s so genuine and entertaining. I’m looking forward to her big return.
