Jennifer Hudson: American Idol’s New Judge. Adam Lambert and Kelly Clarkson May Join!

Jennifer Hudson’s NBC show Smash got canceled and a diva’s gotta eat! The American Idol alum, who got knocked out before making it to the final 6, has signed on to judge next year’s contestants of the once-popular talent show.

There was a rumor that Idol wants to bring back former contestants to judge the new season. I adore this idea because I really want my gay baby daddy Adam Lambert to sign on!

E! News reports: “Multiple sources confirm” the deal has been signed, making Hudson the first former contestant to return to the show in a judging capacity. Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken are also in the running for the remaining two judging spots for season 13. Clarkson is close to inking a deal for one of those judges’ chairs.

William Balfour Found Guilty of Killing Jennifer Hudson’s Family

William Balfour faces life in prison after being convicted of murdering Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and 7 year-old nephew in 2008. Jennifer narrowly escaped being murdered herself, when she decided to visit her fiance instead of her family in Chicago, where members of her family were murdered.

After two days of deliberations, 27 year-old William has been found guilty of 1st degree murder on all counts plus guilty of home invasion and residential burglary.

Hudson was not in court when the verdict was read, but she did testify and broke down on the stand earlier in Balfour’s trial.

TMZ reports: “Balfour stands convicted of the triple murder after allegedly flying into a blind and jealous rage over a balloon gift for Julia Hudson, Balfour’s ex and Jennifer’s sister. Balfour thought the gift was from Julia’s new boyfriend and he snapped.”

Still shaking my head at this story! Such a shame, hopefully this brings the Hudson family some amount of closure.

Jennifer Hudson Family Murder Trial: Jen Breaks Down

Jennifer Hudson said that she will attend each hearing of the murder trial for her late mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew. William Balfour, the ex-husband of her sister Julia, is on trial for the Hudson family murders. The Oscar-winner testified on the first day of the trial. While Jen has managed to keep her tears away from the public for the most part, she broke down on the stand.

When prosecutors asked Hudson about the last time she saw her family, Jen said that it was just a few days before the tragedy. She played the piano while her mother and brother sat next to her and they were just enjoying some family time.

The prosecutor handed Jennifer a photo of her mom and that’s when she began crying. “That was the last time I saw them,” she said, sobbing. “Thank God I had the opportunity.”

Hudson says that she never liked William Balfour and she warned her sister not to marry him because she didn’t like the way he treated her.

Jennifer Hudson and Adele: Weight Watchers Battle At The Grammys?

The 2012 Grammy ceremony was likely one of the greatest nights of Adele‘s life. She swept all of the major categories and gave one of the most memorable performances the show has ever seen. Then she ran into Jennifer Hudson backstage and totally had her bubble burst.

According the the National Enquirer, J-Hud approached Adele backstage to congratulate the fellow vocalist on her triumphant night…and suggest that she join Weight Watchers. Hudson is a longtime Weight Watchers spokesperson and is reportedly obsessed with dieting after her own public struggle with size. According to one witness, “Jennifer congratulated Adele on her six trophies but then added, ‘I used to be heavy just like you and gosh, Weight Watchers saved my life! I can hook you up.’”

An understandably angry Adele was heard to remark, “The nerve of that woman!” Adele has spoken openly about the fact that she’s perfectly content with her current weight and appeared noticeably trimmed down at the Grammys. We hope for Jennifer’s sake that this story isn’t true. Congratulating someone on reaching the peak of success then immediately suggesting they drop a few sizes is taking passive-aggressive b!tchiness to a new extreme.

Jennifer Hudson: “I Will Always Love You” Whitney Houston Tribute

Jennifer Hudson gave an emotional, moving performance of Whitney Houston’s most famous song on tonight’s Grammy Awards. Jennifer received a call from producers last night, who asked her to perform the Houston tribute. Jennifer got on the mic and did what she did best, belting out “I Will Always Love You,” while making the ballad her own.

I was thrilled to learn that JHud was asked to perform tonight. Her voice is the closest we have to Whitney’s, and considering how Jennifer tragically lost her family members a few years ago (and has spent time with Whitney on several occasions), she is the right one for the job! She had a personal connection to Whitney, which makes her performance even more appropriate. Great job Jen!

Jennifer Hudson Isn’t Used to Dressing Skinny

Jennifer Hudson lost a sh*t ton of weight and she loves talking about it, which is cool because she hasn’t yet gone the Kirstie Alley route. Now you can’t escape her singing Weight Watchers commercials (seriously, try to get through an episode of Dance Moms without seeing J-Hudson belt it out back-to-back).

Jen can wrap her hands around her waist like nothing!

No doubt, she looks great, but she says she’s still having difficulty adjusting to her new, slimmer bod.

Jennifer says, “Because it’s a new body, I’m trying to find out, how do I want to be perceived? Who is this new me? I knew how to be the big girl, but now I have to find out how to be this girl.”

We love that she’s lost weight and looks healthy, but people don’t want to hear about the problems that skinny b!tches have being skinny. Having a “new me” is like, um, the best excuse to get new clothes EVER. Especially when you have the money to buy/borrow a whole new wardrobe.

David Otunga Saved Jennifer Hudson’s Life!

Jennifer Hudson hasn’t said much about the 2008 brutal murder of her mother, brother and nephew, but she told Ebony magazine that her fiance indirectly saved her life!

Jennifer was supposed to be in Chicago, at the time that her family was murdered, but she was visiting David in Florida where he was working with the WWE.

“I could have been home with my mom then. [Otunga] wanted me to come out to Florida with him instead of going to Chicago.” How insane!

Jen told Ebony: “I flew out to see him; that’s why I’m still here. I’ve never said that before and I can’t believe I just said that now.” Hudson said that David told her that she could “come out there and see [him] versus going home.’”

Just hearing that gives me chills.

David and Jennifer are currently engaged and they have a 2-year-old son, David Jr.

Jennifer Hudson‘s longtime fiance does not want to sign a prenup. Jennifer has been dating reality TV reject David Otunga for maybe around four years now. David competed on “I Love New York” and he was as flamboyant as they come.

According to Media Take Out, Jennifer’s family members say that David didn’t want to sign a prenup, “so they put the wedding on hold.”

I have reported only a handful of stories by Media Take Out since I began blogging because that website rarely ever reports anything even remotely true. I don’t know why Jennifer has been engaged for years, all I know is that at least she got a cute baby out of her relationship. Jennifer shouldn’t dump David because of money issues, she should run for the hills if she doesn’t wanna marry the next Gay Al.
