It’s Sophia’s 2nd birthday and time to reflect on the day Farrah Abraham went into labor. The conversation somehow managed to turn into an argument. Debra told Farrah she was so proud of everything she has accomplished, and Farrah still has emotional issues about how everything happened over the last two years. Debra thinks leaving Sophia while she finishes school and gets her life together is the best thing for Farrah.

After weighing out the pros and cons, Farrah makes the decision to leave Sophia while she goes to school in Florida. Farrah tells her mom she’s leaving Sophia with her while she finishes school; her mom thinks this is what Farrah should do to give herself time to heal. Debra isn’t the special kind of crazy we first came to know, so I think Sophia’s in good hands. Still, I can’t imagine making that decision and it’s no surprise Farrah is torn up about it. Farrah took Sophia around town and explained where she met Derek and told her how they fell in love. Farrah’s finally coming to terms with everything and hopefully all of her decisions will work out.

Maci Bookout is fed up with Ryan and doesn’t want to be around him to even drop off Bentley for visitation, so she asked her mom to help with Bentley. Maci goes to Ryan’s house to get Bentley and Kyle goes with her. She talked to Ryan and told him their arguing is upsetting Bentley too much so they shouldn’t be around each other. Then comes Ryan’s toddler hissy fit over it, which is exactly why Maci wants the new guidelines in place. Ryan’s dad talked to him about the situation and tells Ryan he should apologize for the crap he’s pulled; and wouldn’t you believe, Ryan sent a text to Maci at that moment claiming he’s sorry for all the fighting. Maci and Ryan sat down and actually had an adult conversation without any arguments. It seems like everything is finally getting to how it should be. Maci sat down with Kyle and talked to him about their relationship to make sure he, too, wants to get hitched one day. Kyle said if he’s not worth waiting for then she should move on. Dude, she’s 19! Sit back and relax Maci, you’ve got all the time in the world.

Tyler’s dad needs a place to stay and wants to shack up with Ty and Catelynn Lowell. Butch and Catelynn’s mom April aren’t allowed to see each other, so if Butch does move in, he still won’t be able to be there if April shows up. Or, April won’t be able to come to Tyler and Catelynn’s apartment. Sounds like too much drama to me, and you can’t trust crackheads. Butch agrees to their ground rules of no drugs, illegal sh!t or contact with April and they’re allowing him to stay. Butch wants to go to their high school graduation and if Carly is there with her adoptive parents, Butch wants to introduce himself as grandpa. Yeah, that’s not gonna fly. Looks like someone isn’t going to be at the ceremony! Catelynn and Tyler realize it’s best for Carly not to attend the graduation ceremony, so they sent an email to Theresa and Brandon about their decision. They want to focus on their future so they can one day have another child of their own. Going back to the Butch drama, he got busted and sent back to prison. What a shame he couldn’t keep clean and prove everyone wrong.

The time has come for Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley to find out if their no contact order can be dissolved so they can pursue their train wreck relationship. Since they’re having crappy weather, the meeting is canceled. Amber and Gary now have to survive a few more days without seeing or talking to each other. Since they’re dragging this shiz out, it’s time to listen to Gary admit he misses Amber and all the other bull he’s been saying this season. Since the ice storm has finally passed, Amber and Gary are going to court. The judge decided they can see each other but not around Leah. Gary hitches a ride home with Amber and her mom and planted a smooch on Amber as he left. She’s not looking to get into a relationship with him again anytime soon. She’s got enough issues although she thinks she has her head on straight. Gary tried serenading her with a song over the phone, but Amber’s not buying it. Later dude.

Debbie voiced her concerns about Farrah Abraham moving to Florida and had a total meltdown about Sophia being so far away. Since it’s difficult for Farrah to hold a conversation with her parents about her big move, she has made an appointment for the whole family to meet with her counselor Deena. Farrah also surprised her parents with the news that she’s getting braces. They’re invisible braces, not Invisalign, but they’re not as noticeable as the traditional ones. Anyway, Farrah was accepted into the college she was checking out, so this session with the therapist outta be fun.

Her mom tells the therapist she’s worried for Sophia and thinks she’ll be harmed by going to Florida with Farrah. They need to trust Farrah and understand she’s an adult and can make her own decisions. Let’s take a break to check out Farrah’s new braces.. Ooooh, aaaaah! Moving on. Debbie still thinks Sophia should stay with her instead of going to Florida with Farrah, but I don’t think Farrah’s going to give in. She knows it would be easier to do school if Sophia stayed with her parents, but she can’t imagine leaving Sophia behind. Farrah has some big decisions to make.

Maci Bookout has been giving Ryan an extra day a week with Bentley, but he’s lacking in the daddy duty section. He seems to be spending more time out with his pals and leaving his mom to take care of Bentley most of the time. I think even Ryan’s parents get p!ssed about how much time Ryan doesn’t spend with his little man. Maci confronted him about going out all the time and he claims he never does. He wanted her to point out another time he went out when Bentley was at his house, but Maci had no evidence… But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t go out! Poor Bentley had to sit and listen to the whole argument. Poor little guy! Maci hopes she can talk to Ryan’s parents alone since holding a conversation with him is so hard.

Let’s switch to Maci’s relationship with Kyle. They head out for dinner and she’s pushing him to take the next step… You know, marriage! Kyle doesn’t know if he wants to deal with Ryan for the rest of his life, but he needs to put his focus on Maci and Bentley. She needs to open her eyes and realize they’re still young and have plenty of time to walk down the aisle.

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler finally heard back from Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa. They’re proud of Tyler’s accomplishments with graduating, but they’re not sure they’re going to attend the ceremony. He and Catelynn deal with it in a very mature way and will be happy if they come, but if they don’t, they’ll understand. Catelynn finally finished high school too, and is looking into attending the same school as Tyler. During her celebration for finishing school, Tyler admits to his pals that he could see himself with another girl, but he’s committed to Catelynn. He told his mom about Catelynn’s problems with him doing anything without her, but he still plans on doing what he wants to do. He’s feeling weighed down by Catelynn always being insecure about their relationship, but he loves her and will work through it with her. Catelynn surprised Ty with a skiing trip and they’re back on cloud 9. They needed this time away and even enjoyed an evening at a Bed & Breakfast. Since they are talking out their problems, the love has grown stronger.

After Amber Portwood got out of jail, she broke off her f*ckship with Clinton to focus on her time with Leah. She made her time in jail sound absolutely horrible. Well, it’s not supposed to be a day in paradise! She even talked to Gary’s mom about her fears about the meeting with Child Protective Services, but so far they say they haven’t seen anything wrong with how she interacts with Leah. Amber still has a meeting with them coming up. Gary went out with his pal Evan and expressed how nervous he is about their meeting with CPS tomorrow. The counseling session went well for Amber but she’s worried about CPS because they could take Amber’s full custody of Leah away, so she’s spending her night before the meeting cuddling with Leah who is sick with the flu. The meeting with Child Protective Services went well and she didn’t lose full custody of Leah. Gary took Leah to the doc and found out she has strep and an ear infection and Amber is catching it too.

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler are moving into a bigger yet cheaper apartment. Catelynn got a call from her dad, who she hasn’t seen in four years. He’s heading to Michigan for a job interview and making time to visit her while he’s in town. Her dad has never met Tyler, so this meeting is a big deal!

Her dad seems like a normal cool guy! He has his head straight unlike April, Catelynn’s mom. He gave her great advice on keeping her relationship with Tyler tight and told her to always call him if she needs someone to talk to. He even told Tyler he would love to have him as a son in law. Awww! Catelynn needs that bond and it’s nice to see her smile! Hopefully her dad gets the job in Michigan so he can move back and be closer to Catelynn.

Gary’s still being a tool and attempting to win Amber Portwood back with 5 dozen roses, which were delivered while Amber’s new dude Clinton was at the house. Yeah, I bet Clinton’s glad he’s in the middle of this drama! Gary acts like he’s heartbroken over not being with Amber, but I thin he’s pulling his best soap opera acting. It’s been a hard day for Amber because it’s the birthday of her sister Candace who died 15 years ago of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). She went over to Gary’s and helped put the Christmas tree up because she wants Leah to know her and Gary can still be cool together. It was almost scary seeing them have a good, heartfelt moment together.

Kyle is still jobless and low and behold Ryan texts Maci Bookout telling her there’s a job opening at work if Kyle is interested. Weird much? Maci hasn’t decided if she wants to go back to school, but she needs to finish! Kyle, Maci’s friends and her own mother are like, “Duh! Get your @ss back in school!” Of course it’s not easy when you’re taking care of a child at the same time and she needs to put her big girl panties on and get over it. Maci talked to her college advisor and he told her to quit being lazy and get back to the books. Thank God everyone around her is giving her sound advice and she’s going to follow through with it.

Farrah Abraham has been enjoying the holidays with Sophia and wants to head down to Arizona and try to find a place to live. She even asked her parents to go with her, which is just a bad idea all around. She had her panties in a bunch over her parents, who were annoying her the entire trip. Because this trip should be all about her, she can’t even handle them checking out other properties in the area. They had a huge blowout during dinner and Farrah believes they all need a counseling session together. Maybe her therapist should tell her to calm the f*ck down every once in a while. Just my thought!

Maci Bookout is itchin’ to have another baby and thinks Kyle would make the perfect daddy. When she discusses the idea with him, he pretty much puts off the conversation because he, like the rest of us, think it’s a sh!tty idea.

He says if they get married they’ll have another baby, but she thinks he’s just scared. Maci even talked to her mom and friends about having another baby, and everyone agrees it would be a bad idea. She says with Bentley going to daycare, she’s bored and a baby would take care of that boredom. Oh dear. Kyle doesn’t even have a job right now, Maci needs to finish school and find a real job of her own. This is not the time to have another kid!

Farrah Abraham is ready to spread her wings and move to either California, Arizona or Florida. Her dad is understanding about the decision, but her mom, on the other hand, is not. She doesn’t understand why her parents want to put their two cents in when it comes to what she wants to do, but she needs to realize they’re looking out for her and Sophia’s best interest. Farrah takes off for California for a couple of days to look at apartments and a college, but it’s not what she was expecting. Farrah heads back home but still plans on looking at other places.

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler want to invite Carly and her adoptive parents, Teresa and Brandon, to their graduation. They meet up with the chick who helped them with the adoption process and she thinks it would be a great idea for them to write it in a letter and send gifts they get for Carly for Christmas. Apparently Tyler’s mom called the adoptive parents and mentioned Tyler’s graduation. The call freaked them out a little bit. They expected to hear the news from Tyler and Catelynn, not his mom. When Tyler told his mom about the call, they were a little uneasy. The last thing Tyler’s mom wants to do is cause any kind of problems between them. Tyler wrote a letter apologizing for his mom calling them. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens, and if they accept the invite to the graduation!

Amber Portwood got a little help from her old school pal Clinton Yunkers while she was moving into her new home. Now that she’s moved in and she has Leah’s room set up, her baby girl can finally come back home! During her time with Clinton, he asked her out on a date and she thinks she’s ready to jump back into the dating game. Clinton has a baby girl of his own, who is 14 months old, so at least they have something in common! The date went well and they ended it with a kiss. Looks like they’re planning on a second date!

Amber Portwood has to meet with Child Protective Services to discuss what has been going on lately, so she can get Leah back. She’s nervous about going, so she asks her mom to come with her. Amber knows her mom has a mouth on her and she’s worried she may start arguing during the meeting. She reminds her mom that she just wants her there for support and not to say do anything crazy.

Amber claims her mom was a problem during the meeting because she was asking when Amber would get Leah back, but Amber said she already knows it will happen when moves into a new place. Amber shows her true colors (orange and blue eyeshadow? ha!) and starts yelling at her mom telling her she’s a bad mother. Wow, that apple didn’t fall far from the tree! Maybe Amber should throw that back on herself!

Farrah Abraham decides it’s finally time to visit Sophia’s daddy Derek’s gravesite, which she has never done since he passed away 2 years ago. Her mother also went along for support, and they met up with Derek’s father and stepmother who showed them the site. They had decorated it with a grave blanket for Christmas, and they left two boxes with candles in them for Sophia and Farrah. How sweet!

They stopped over to Derek’s dad’s house to visit some of his side of the family, and Farrah opened up about how hard it is not having Derek around but his dad reassured her, he’s always watching over her and Sophia. Aww! Maybe this will give Farrah a little bit of closure.

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler are moving up the adult ladder. First they moved into an apartment together, they found jobs, and now they’re finishing school! Tyler is totally finished and Catelynn found out she passed her history class with a whopping 65% on her test. Just barely making the grade. Tyler could get his diploma sooner than Catelynn, but because she has days she needs to make up for the time she missed school while preggo, he’s going to wait and attend the official graduation with her. His mom is so proud of him and can’t believe her little baby is growing up. Tyler really wants their adopted daughter Carly to attend his graduation. I have a feeling it will work out for him!

Maci Bookout is still struggling with school, caring for Bentley and lovin’ on Kyle. I mean, the girl dropped a few classes to make it all work and she’s still having a hard time? Besides the norm, Ryan is finally getting fire under his @ss and wants to file for joint custody. Since they only went through a mediator before, nothing is totally set in stone. He wants to make sure everything is legit so Maci can’t try to run off with Bentley like she did in the past. I know, she didn’t necessarily run, but she only gave him 2 days notice which is pretty f*cked up. Let the battle begin!

Catelynn Lowell and her friend Paige are heading off to a retreat for birth moms who gave up their babies for adoption. Catelynn and Tyler haven’t kept in contact with Carly’s adoptive parents and they feel bad, but this retreat will help Catelynn deal with those feelings. Paige gave up her baby for adoption also, and this retreat will definitely help because she’s still having a hard time dealing with it.

During a group discussion, Catelynn got a little scared while hearing another woman’s story of having her open adoption closed when her child was 4. This could happen with Catelynn, but so far everything has worked out well. I don’t see them closing the open adoption on Catelynn and Tyler. While talking to the retreat founder, Jen, she told Jen she and Tyler worry they’re not doing their part and Jen points out, “Part of doing your part, is taking care of yourself.” If they go a few months not talking to the birth parents doesn’t mean they don’t love Carly and think about her all the time.

Farrah Abraham officially graduated and she wants to get a puppy to celebrate. She wants one of those tiny ankle biters that will fit in her purse. She brings it home and tried to make it go potty on the toilet. WTF is she thinking? As soon as she put it down, it pissed on the carpet. Go figure. She wants to keep the puppy hidden from her mom. That worked out for a minute, but after some squealing, her mom found the dog. She gave Farrah a speech about how much work a puppy is, but she thinks she can handle it.

Kyle hasn’t found a job in Chattanooga yet, so it’s helpful for Maci Bookout to have him there to help out with watching Bentley. Ryan still doesn’t know Kyle lives with Maci because he hasn’t asked her. Ryan’s mom Jen went over to Maci’s to pick up Bentley and saw Kyle there, which was evidence he’s living there. Ryan knows it’s bullsh!t Maci hasn’t told him they live together, because she would want to know if he was living with another girl. His parents don’t think it’s healthy for Bentley to have “these guys” in his life, but they have no clue what a great guy Kyle is.

Amber Portwood is really excited about her new house and having Leah living under the same roof with her again. Leah’s birthday is coming up, and Amber and Gary are supposed to have a party for her, but Gary wants to throw his own. What’s crazy is when he called Amber about separate parties, he was telling her how much he loves her and wants to be with her, but when Amber called later that night and asked again about doing the party together, Gary yelled “I don’t want anything to do with you! I already told you!” He took off partying for the night when he was supposed to be cleaning the house for Leah’s birthday. Total fail. Amber did a little better by taking Leah out for dinner and took her to her apartment for the night, with lots of cute princess gifts. This happy moment won’t last too long!

Tyler and Catelynn Lowell are coming to terms that they need to get jobs. They’re still finishing school, and they have the additional expense of paying for the rent at their apartment. Catelynn babysits her brother after school, but they need to make some loot. The babysitting also makes her realize how hard it would have been to raise Catelynn along with all of the other responsibilities.

Tyler has been eyeballing a job at a pizza joint and this will be the first job he’s ever had. Catelynn looked into a part-time job at a jewelry boutique, and believe it or not, they both got the jobs! Tyler’s mom was so cute. She totally cried because her baby is growing up and being responsible. Kudos kids, keep it up!

Farrah Abraham is preparing for her final exam, but she has other things she needs to do – like get Sophia a pumpkin for Halloween! Farrah is going to the pumpkin patch with her sister Ashley, who she has had a rocky relationship with in the past. While picking out pumpkins, Farrah talked about her dreams of opening her own restaurant. There’s just one minor obstacle, she needs to graduate culinary school first!

While putting together her business plan for her restaurant, Farrah’s mom tells her she better graduate. Farrah needs to put in at least C average work. The faculty wasn’t happy about Farrah’s presentation, but she still ends up passing. Woo hoo!

Amber Portwood is living with her friend Kim, who is living in Amber’s old apartment. Amber claims the place is in no condition for Leah to live at, but that’s because Amber won’t get her lazy @ss motivated and clean Leah’s old room.

While visiting with her cousin, Amber breaks down while discussing the possibility of losing Leah. People are driving by and screaming what a bad mother she is, and she needs to find a new place to live. Amber even worries about taking Leah trick or treating in her neighborhood because people yell at her and scream at her for being a bad mom.

Gary’s mom is taking Leah out for Halloween because Gary has things he has to do that night. What a crock of sh!t. What parent doesn’t want to do the Halloween thing with their child? Leah looked beautiful in her Cinderella dress and I’m sure Gary’s momma made it a good time for her. Amber did find herself an awesome house to rent and hopefully Leah gets to come back home.

Maci Bookout‘s planning Bentley’s 2nd birthday party and invited Ryan. Maci and Kyle took Bentley to the Aquarium before the birthday and discussed how awkward it would have been for Ryan to be there, because they did actually invite him. Don’t worry, it gets awkward at the birthday party.

Bentley’s party was fabulous with awesome blowup slides and bouncy rooms, but it was totally awkward with Ryan and his parents there. They think Ryan needs to fight harder for custody rights and wanted him to get Bentley for a while on his birthday too. Maci also kept pushing to take Bentley to her parents for a couple hours after the party for Halloween, and Ryan folded and let her do it. He’s p!ssed, but he let her go. I think Ryan’s going to start standing up for himself more and pushing Maci on the custody agreement.
