Nobody can give Mariah Carey or Jennifer Lopez a run for their money in the diva department, but Paula Abdul is proving she can be one too. An insider tells Us Weekly Paula makes her assistants carry a tape recorder all the time because “she doesn’t trust her own converstaions.” Creepy!

They also have to constantly check and see if she’s being talked about on TV. As the insider reveals, “She makes them check the TiVo for any mention of her and put it on a DVD.”

Oh, and because she’s so special, she needed constant reminders that she’s a “warrior, survivor and gift.”

Oh my. What, just because Simon Cowell took her under his wing and added her to the panel of his next big hit, X Factor, she’s all diva like and has to be told she’s a gift? I think she just gets confused because of all of the little voices in her head. Somebody needs to remind her she’s Paula, not Aphrodite.

Paula Abdul is chit chatting about life and the big things ahead in Emmy magazine. She does after all have a little show called “X-Factor” that she needs to promote.

In the article, Paula discusses how much she misses her pal Michael Jackson saying. “I still can’t believe he’s gone, and I still find myself speaking of him as if he’s alive.”

She also spoke about her stint on The X Factor and feels it’s sort of a combination of the different careers she’s had. She likes nurturing raw, untapped talent and says it’s like “having a front-row seat to something at it’s humble beginning that could lead to greatness.”

Does she have any parting words about her time on American Idol? Well of course she does! Paula says she was grateful for the good times and was a good student through the bad times, but felt like “the dynamics of the show changed when they brought Kara in.”

I think she secretly hoped Idol would become a failure if she and Simon Cowell were no longer involved, but it’s working itself out just fine. I’m sure she’s over it and planning on taking over the world yet again with Simon once The X Factor premieres next month.

Cougar maneater Paula Abdul has found another young man to take on her crazy. Life & Style reports that Paula has been spotted at LAX with Jeff Bratton, a record executive.

Paula and Jeff had dinner together in New York on July 10th. A source says that they sat in a booth together with a male friend. “It was a mellow low-key dinner, and they were attentive to each other.”

Paula worked with Jeff’s band, Shine 2009, in the Spring.

Ms. Abdul likes to sh!t where she eats and she likes ‘em young and dumb. I don’t think this f*ckship will work either. Only Simon Cowell could tame her. Hey, there’s a lot of sexual tension there… Maybe.

Paula Abdul called 911 on Valentine’s Day while she was in the car with her boyfriend who wouldn’t stop and drop her off. According to TMZ, they were driving near Santa Barbara when Paula and her dude got in a heated argument, which prompted the 911 call.

During the call — placed at 4:35 PM on Valentine’s Day — Paula cries and sobs hysterically and says, “I wanna go, and he won’t let me!”

Seconds later Paula says, “Are you gonna drop me off ’cause I have emergency on the phone” — and shortly after that she says, “He’s dropping me off.”

Officers got in touch with Paula about an hour later and she said it was just a verbal dispute.

Talk about a crappy Valentine’s Day! Paula sounds scared for her life during the phone call, but it was just over an argument? I think there was more than a screaming match that caused her to call 911, or else this was a ridiculous reason to call the police. Seriously, could you imagine if we all called 911 every time we got into a verbal fight with our boyfriend or girlfriend?
