Rebecca Black, the ridiculously adorable 14 year-old from Orange County, is back with a brand new song! And it’s catchy! Rebecca’s “Person of Interest” song is cheesy and fun, just like this video. I love it. It’s so age appropriate for Black’s target demographic. Thankfully she’s not selling sex. She’s just marketing herself as a fun loving, innocent young girl. I can respect that! This is Rebecca’s best song yet, which isn’t saying much, but check it out!
Rebecca Black performed on America’s Got Talent last night and I was a little surprised when I heard her set of pipes bust out with “My Moment,” which turned into a mash-up with “Friday.” She wasn’t that bad!
The girl must be taking some singing lessons, because she wasn’t nearly as nasally as she was on ‘Friday,’ and she’s gaining a little pitch! I’m not saying she’s going to turn into the next Christina Aguilera or Whitney Houston, but she’s definitely sounding better than she used to.
Those sh!t talkers in high school have got nothing on Rebecca now! Get ‘em girl!

You know where you were the day when Rebecca Black‘s hit song “Friday” started blaring on Youtube and we all did a WTF is this? face when we heard it. Whether you loved it or hated it, the song became a Youtube sensation, and Rebecca Black became an instant trend.
Although she became a pop star overnight, Rebecca was dealing with the harsh reality of high school kids who would make fun of her and her song. In an interview with ABC News, Rebecca said, “When I walk by they’ll start singing ‘Friday’ in a really nasally voice. Or, you know, they’ll be like, ‘Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?”
I bet they weren’t talking so much trash when she appeared in Katy Perry’s ‘Last Friday Night’ video!
Personally I would have told them to go f*ck themselves, but her mother, Georgina Marquez, didn’t want her daughter being ridiculed and pulled her out of school because she “certainly did not need that kind of pressure.” Don’t worry, Rebecca is being home schooled instead.
All in all, Rebecca has kept her head up revealing, “I’ve learned that you just can’t let it get to you.”
If only the rest of the celebrity world would take that advice! Haters are gonna hate, no matter what.

Never mind that at this point in her career, Rebecca Black is mostly famous as the punchline of a really bad Internet joke. The 13 year-old “singer” has released a new single and is planning on taking over.
“I wanted people to able to take me seriously because I felt like this would be the right thing to do,” Becky said of her new song, “My Moment.”
“I wanted to start building what could be a really great career, but this industry, it’s so unpredictable: You could be the big thing for a month or four months, and then kind of fall off the face of the planet. And I felt my whole team kind of felt like it was a great way to put me here for an amount of time.”
Meh. I think Rebecca needs to be grateful for her 15 minutes and just move on. The new song has better production values, but she still can’t sing, and the fact that “My Moment” is a song about online bullying just makes it seem like shameless opportunism on the part of whoever is handling her career. Nothing ruins a perfectly good joke like trying to make the punchline human.

Rebecca Black may not be a one hit wonder afterall.
Rebecca’s second single is called “My Moment,” and I think it has potential. If she’s going for a 7 year-old demographic, (which is pretty much Justin Bieber’s demographic, right?) than she’s good. “My Moment” is kind of catchy. Black has no range and no charisma, but she’s cute. “Cute” is all it takes sometimes. I actually think this song sounds more original than Pia Toscano’s! I’m interested to hear what Becky’s third single will sound like. She should stray from anything that sounds like a ballad and stick to the bubble gum pop crap that stars like Katy Perry do so well.
Rebecca Black is extending her 15 minutes by dropping a second single on us. “My Moment” is scheduled to be released on July 18th.
Since Rebecca’s awful pop anthem was released, she had a cameo appearance in Katy Perry’s video and Stephen Colbert even sang and danced to her YouTube hit. She’s already had a very successful run thus far, but will she be able to sustain it?
Black’s second single will celebrate her recent achievements and will include video footage from her red carpet appearances and her hosting gig with an online award show for MTV. She will also be seen graduating from middle school. Oh my god, we so excited!
Becky’s songwriting team is legit this time around. Notably, she’ll be working with Brandon “Blue” Hamilton who has produced music for none other than thee Justin Bieber.

Millions of people were shocked the other day when Rebecca Black‘s hit song “Friday” was pulled from YouTube. Ark Music Factory, the company that produced the song, didn’t see it coming either. Rebecca’s people believe Ark was exploiting Rebecca’s image and that’s why it was pulled, but sources at the music company told TMZ they had no idea Rebecca would yank her hit tune altogether.
“We’re disappointed, having been in good faith negotiations with Rebecca Black and her representatives for months regarding any open issues .There’s been an ongoing, open dialogue with our company. So we were blindsided to get a Take Down Notice — with no notice — alleging copyright infringement instead of a call or email from Rebecca’s representatives.”
“We are going to continue to take the high road and work out the complaint as soon as possible.”
I’m sure they were happier than a fly on sh!t making bank off of Rebecca’s craptastic song, but they’re screwing with the wrong chick. She may have an annoying nasal voice, but that b!tch will own you if you take advantage of her genius music skills. She’s a true HBIC.

I hope you had your fill of Rebecca Black‘s hit song ‘Friday,’ because it’s no longer available on YouTube. According to TMZ, Rebecca’s camp pulled the video over a dispute with Ark music.
TMZ spoke with a rep for Black who tells us, “We can confirm that we submitted a Take Down Notice to YouTube as a result of the dispute we have with Ark Music regarding the ‘Friday’ video.”
As we previously reported, Black’s people have threatened legal action against Ark — claiming the company is wrongfully exploiting her image and her song because Ark does not own the rights to either.
Ark also ran the YouTube account that hosted the video and earlier this week they set up ‘Friday’ as a $2.99 rental video. How jacked up is that? Apparently that was enough for Rebecca and her camp, so they pulled it off of YouTube entirely.
Of course this just had to happen right before Friday. I’m so screwed without my theme song.
