Tyra Banks suddenly fired judges Nigel, Miss Jay and Jay Alexander and she’s filling their slots with Rob Evans and Johnny Wujek. America’s Next Top Model will be moving to Friday nights at 8 p.m. and the show that I used to love watching has the same host, Tyra, along with fashion guru Kelly Cutrone, the only judge to remain on the panel after Tyra’s cuts.
Rob Evans (on the right) is an international male model and Johnny Wujek (on the left) is a stylist who works with Katy Perry, Shakira and more.
“Cycle 19 has been announced as the college edition. It will include contestants across all forms of higher education, from four-year colleges to beauty schools.”
For the upcoming season, viewers will also have the opportunity to vote for who is eliminated online.
Drake and Tyra Banks are a thing? I just need a moment to digest this for a little bit…Okay, now that my stomach acid is back to normal, let’s get down to the business of OMG OMG OMG is this for real?
According to Radar Online, the 25-year-old rapper and 38-year-old model/mogul/firer of Mr. Jay–killing any hopes I had of ever watching America’s Next Top Model again–had a Disneyland date. The couple went on rides, went to Yogurtland, and had a nice time. Both of them parted ways with their respective significant others in the winter, and now I guess they’re having a spring fling. (And, yes, I really did just write that.)
In fact, I am sure that this is a healthy, mature relationship and they’re adults and they can do whatever they want, but seriously? Tyra is cray cray. This is going to be insane. I was not prepared for this, and it’s either going to explode and be horrible or explode and be plain weird.
Kelly Cutrone of MTV’s The Hills, and some other show on Bravo, is joining Tyra Banks at the judging table for cycle 18 of a show that no one watches anymore. Kelly is excited about her new role on America’s Next Top Model, but we’re not so sure Andre Leon Talley is. The feminine as hell Vogue magazine fashion icon is out.
“I am a huge fan of America’s Next Top Model and have watched the show for years,” Kelly said.
“Having worked in various aspects of the fashion industry over the course of my career, I am excited for this new opportunity and hope to bring a different perspective to the show.”
Really?! Kelly’s a super b!tch and Tyra’s a super diva. This may get ugly.
Tyra Banks and Kim Kardashian are friends apparently, and while they probably spend most of their time talking about how neither of them can remember why they're rich and famous, lately they've been discussing Kim's upcoming wedding. Tyra has played an important role in the planning process (or so she claims) and she was even one of the first to catch a glimpse of Kim's much-anticipated (and no doubt outrageously expensive) bridal gown.
Tyra still thinks she's the world's foremost fashion expert, so she gave Kim "advice" about the dress and Kim texted her pics of her final selection for approval. “What she showed me was so beautiful,” Tyra says. “It’s interesting because they were pictures from a fitting, but it actually looked like the wedding, like her hair was done. So it was like a real almost dress rehearsal and she looked absolutely beautiful.”
A wedding dress rehearsal? Look, I know you only get married once (ideally) and the Kardashians overdo everything, but this is getting ridiculous. Someone needs to tell Kim that it may be fun to play princess, but she's not actually royalty.
Tyra Banks has always said that she looks up to Oprah, and the most self-absorbed talk show host in history was reportedly inspired to end her show after Lady O did.
Tyra Banks thinks that she’s a Simon Cowell in her own right and she’s quitting The Tyra Show to work on launching Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based film production company.
Tyra said, “This will be the last season of The Tyra Show. I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”
Tyra wants to bring “positive images of women to the big screen,” an industry insider said. Shouldn’t she start on the silver screen where Top Model contestants are condemned for being “fat” when they’re not, among other nonsense the superficial competition promotes?
Tyra said: “My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are. There’s a lot cooking right now and a lot of fire burning in my heart. I really love you all.”
Based upon Tyra’s track record, it would be delusional to assume that she’s not going to excel in any venture she pursues. But there’s no other show on TV like hers and it’s very unfortunate that she’s pulling the plug. I miss her already.
Rihanna wore a dress that looks like something she pulled from an aisle at her local Home Depot.
Rihanna's dress resembles house blinds and those folding fans. It's a little too busy for my preference, and it looks messy at the bottom. You could clothe a small village of babies in Africa with all the material that went into her frock. But I digress.
Rihanna was in New York last night to pick up her Woman of the Year award from Glamour magazine. Tyra Banks, Serena Williams and many others also showed up.
She has a booty that my family could serve Thanksgiving dinner on and she’s all muscle from head to toe. Isn’t having so much muscle the very opposite of the definition of “fat?” She’s fit and beautiful and thick and at least she has curves, and then some!
Serena appears on the Tyra Banks show, which airs today, where she promotes her memoir, On the Line. She talks about all the “fat” headlines and how that made her feel. I didn’t even know Serena had written a memoir until this interview. Promotion like works or something.
Here’s some pictures of Serena that I uploaded for you. Fat or not? I say she’s just thick and curvy.
Late last week Tyra Banks’ Nightline interview was posted online. I checked it out over the weekend and I couldn’t resist posting it. Tyra Banks is like the fakest b*tch that you don’t ever wanna meet. She’s interviewed by the always fierce Cynthia McFadden and the two square off as Tyra tries to “smile with her eyes” as her publicist kindly tells Cynthia to STFU.
One of the main reasons why I dislike Tyra is that she tries too hard! She’s so fake and snobby, yet I mostly remain on the fence with her. Even out of the people I know that have Tyra – some say she’s a b*tch, others says she’s really nice. Aaaaaaahhhhhhh! She’s like a chameleon.
Cynthia doesn’t back down when Tyra and her publicist want her to. Now this is good TV.
