Adam Yauch: Beastie Boys’ MCA Rapper Dies at 47

Beastie Boys rapper Adam Yauch has died. In 2009, Adam, known as MCA, announced that he was being treated for a cancerous parotid gland and a nymph node. MCA co-founded Beastie Boys in 1979 with Mike D and Ad Rock.

The Beastie Boys has won multiple Grammys and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year. They’ve made hit songs like License to Ill, Paul’s Boutique, Check Your Head and Ill Communication.

The popular group hasn’t performed live since 2009. Adam leaves a wife and a daughter behind. R.I.P.
