Whitney Houston Cause of Death: Cocaine and Drowning

The L.A. County Coroner has just released a report noting the official cause of Whitney Houston’s tragic death. The iconic singer died of accidental drowning. Cocaine was found in Houston’s system. Cocaine use and heart disease led to her death. It is “very possible” that Whitney had a heart attack which led to her to consciousness and drown.

TMZ reports: “The heart attack may have been triggered by hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use. Law enforcement sources have told us from the beginning they did not suspect foul play — and believe her death was not a homicide.”

I can’t believe it. I thought that the drugs that were found on the scene, which included Xanax, Ibuprofen and Midol, mixed with alcohol led to Houston’s death. To know that it was cocaine, a drug Bobby Brown allegedly introduced her to, makes this story that much more tragic. R.I.P.
