Lea Michele has a new single out and her first album will be released soon. She’s been working on it for years! I remember speaking with Lea about it long ago. Anyway, she appears on Ellen today where she speaks about Cory Monteith. I love hearing Lea speak about Cory.
It’s interesting to hear about how someone deals with losing their boyfriend to a drug overdose while playing that person’s girlfriend on TV! That’s such a mess, but Lea has been mostly private about Cory’s death and she’s been smart about how she publicly deals with it.
Eventually she’ll stopped being asked about him, she’ll be in a new relationship and we’ll allow her to move on. But for now, I think it’s great that she has so many forums where she can talk about what she’s going through and remind us of the great man Cory actually was.
She said: “I think at a certain point you can choose to sort of fall from this or you can choose to rise. And that’s what I’m just trying to do my best for him because I know that that’s what he would have wanted and to just do my best and to you know, hopefully make something positive for where I go in the rest of my life.”
On how Cory influenced the songs on her album: “Cory got to hear all but two songs on the record and he had notes all the time when I would come home and play him a song. Then after everything happened I met with Sia who’s incredible and she said do you want to write anything about this? And, I think one of the hardest things is the feeling like you’re going to forget everything, so I felt it was important to just take a moment to see what we could come up with.”
That led to a song called “If You Say So,” which she wrote about her boyfriend. Her new single, “Cannonball,” also came from Sia — and she says it fit the tragic situation perfectly.
“I explained to her you know how grief really just, you can get sucked into it. You can literally lose yourself if you don’t actually die from it you can lose yourself completely. [Sia] said, ‘Oh, that’s so crazy cause I wrote this song it’s called ‘Cannonball’ and you just said the lyrics.”
Kanye West was probably expecting his “Bound 2″ music video, which featured a topless Kim Kardashian straddling him on a motorbike while singing lyrics like: “I wanna f–k you hard on the sink, after that give you something to drink” – to be seen as a musical, visual masterpiece, so you know the serious work of Yeezus is in a corner somewhere sulking right now.
Now Ellen DeGeneres has revealed her own contribution – a Christmas card featuring herself on a motorbike as Kanye and her partner Portia de Rossi as Kim. Ellen is wearing the same tie-die t shirt that Kanye wore in the original while Portia is seemingly topless like Kim, even the background features the same dramatic skyline.
The talk show host explained: “Well people have been talking about the Kardashians’ card so much, Portia and I did a card this year and its based on … it was actually inspired by Kim and Kanye’s music video, if you saw it.”
Don’t worry Ellen, compared to this year’s Kardashian family Christmas card, this seems quite tame in comparison.
Britney Spears appears on Ellen where the hilarious talk show host drills her about her boyfriend David Lucado. We learn how Brit Brit met her new man, what she loves about him: “I just love that he’s very passionate and he’s funny and he’s sexy. I don’t know…I like him. I just…I love him!” And how he pissed her off recently. Spears looks great. Her hair is laid, her makeup looks great and her outfit is cute. Britney’s 32nd birthday was yesterday and her Vegas residency begins soon. This chick is always working.
Leave it to Ellen DeGeneres to wear a hilarious costume for Halloween. When Nicki Minaj had her girls out on the Ellen show this year, the talk show host was amazed by her revealing outfit.
We never thought that Ellen would re-create the look, only with fake boobs instead of her own cleavage.
Ellen told her audience: ‘This year I decided to go as something really scary – half naked. Of course I’m Nicki Minaj. ‘Nicki was on the show a few weeks ago. Her shirt was not. She took my show from a PG rating to a Double D… here are my boom booms and back here is my Super Bass.”
On a sidenote, I love seeing Ellen with long hair. I wish she’d get rid of her lesbian ‘do sometime, but we’re more likely to see her in a dress everyday.
Now that she’s done twerking her way into the headlines, Miley Cyrus is ready to talk about her breakup with ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth.
Trilley Cyrus as I like to call her (Trill + Miley..get it?), stopped by Ellen to promote her new album, Bangerz. While there, you know Ellen had to ask Miley about the breakup and Miley gave the usual, “I’m fine and happy as pie” response. Well she didn’t say those exact words, but she did tell Ellen that she is happy, “I keep saying I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and that’s not even a dig. That’s just me because I really am genuinely happy finally with myself which I think sometimes it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are.”
Many people think that she’s putting on a brave face, but I believe her. Before she and Liam announced the end of their engagement, you rarely saw the two of them together. She was also way too young to get married to anyone anyway. Miles isn’t done sleeping around yet. She rather pose nude, have lesbian makeout sessions and hookup with rappers than get married.
Add this to the long list of things Gwyneth Paltrow says that’s TMI. While chatting with Ellen, the Iron Man 3 premiere dress was brought up and Gwyn couldn’t help discussing her pubes. The actress revealed, “I work a seventies vibe, if you know what I mean!”
OMG Gywn! Now, the way people rock their hair down there is none of my business and quite frankly I don’t care, but don’t compare it to the seventies. I mean, that decade was all about hair and everyone was extremely hairy. Now all I can think of is Gwyn rocking the grossest bush in the history of pubic hair.
Apparently, it was so bad that her handlers had to scramble to find a razor so she could wear the revealing dress. Next time Gwyn take care of that before you decide to wear something sheer.
