Michelle Obama: ‘I’m a Single Mother!’

by on

We all have brain farts and Freudian slips, but when you are the first lady you have be very careful since you’re under so much scrutiny. Unfortunately, Thursday morning during a local TV interview Michelle Obama slipped up and referred to herself as a single mother.

When she realized she’d messed up she managed to kind of save herself by saying, “Believe me, as a busy single mother– or, I shouldn’t say single, as a busy mother. Sometimes, you know, when you’ve got a husband who is president, it can feel a little single. But he’s there,” she told a Vermont CBS reporter.

“But as a busy working mom, and before coming to the White House, I was in that position, you know, as well. Working, driving kids to practice, not having enough time to shop or cook, not having the energy, you know, the resources weren’t the issue but time and energy is key,”

Um, well, she did the best she could. Not the best save but a valiant effort. It’s probably tough being married to the POTUS and just a tough being the first lady and taking care of two children.

Clearly Michelle just needs a little break and some rest and relaxation. Hopefully, Barack Obama doesn’t take this personally, everyone messes up,

Michelle Obama: Hot Photos From 2013 Vogue Feature

by on

Michelle Obama is looking good! I think this is the best she has ever looked. Those bangs are working for her and those exercises continue to work wonders on her perfect arms.

Michelle Obama 2013 Vogue cover

Michelle covered Vogue in 2009, three years later she’s back again but with a bigger smile and colorful photo shoot. Michelle looks beautiful and classy in her dress; she’s so happy with President Barack Obama, she looks stunning in every photo… What else can I say other than I’d love to be FLOTUS for a day? Here’s the link if you’d like to check out her lengthy exclusive at Vogue.

Michelle Obama HACKED: Phone Numbers, Credit Report, Social Security Leaked

by on

This is a matter of national security. Joe Biden and Hilary Clinton have been hacked. Not even the First Lady of the United States has been spared from one of the most dangerous hackers in our nation’s history. This is terrorism but we don’t know if the perpetrator is homegrown or foreign. This is frightening.

Michelle Obama’s three phone numbers, social security number, credit report and addresses have gone public. I take it that it’s only a matter of time before the leader of the free world’s private information goes viral.

Michelle Obama Second-Term Portrait: Bangs, Closeup Shot, Covered Arms

by on

Michelle Obama's arms are covered up in her second-term portrait. She also has bangs and isn't standing up. The close up shot was done by Chuck Kennedy.

FLOTUS recently said that her bangs are a "mid-life crisis." I like them on her. The bangs make Michelle O look more youthful and approachable. There's something about slicking your hair back or wearing a bun that says 'strictly business.' The pearls are a nice touch and her makeup looks so natural.

Michelle Obama: 2013 Inauguration Dress Designed by Jason Wu! Again!

by on

Michelle Obama's fashion choices have always been hit or miss for me. She doesn't like to take risks. She wore Jason Wu to the 2009 Inaugural Ball and she wore him again in 2013.

My issue with Jason's dresses is they do nothing for Michelle's physique. They sit like tents on her fit body.

Michelle Obama has a big butt and she's bottom heavy; Jason's dresses have too much material below her midsection. She should stick with tighter, better tailored gowns. She does look beautiful in red and I love the open back, but it's clear that when FLOTUS loves a designer, that's the person she sticks with, no matter how unflattering their designs may be on her frame.

Michelle's jewelry was by Kimberly McDonald and her heels were Jimmy Choo.

2013 President Barack Obama Inauguration Pictures: Michelle, Sasha and Malia and More

by on

The second inauguration of President Barack Obama is taking place in Washington D.C. right now. The 44th President of the United States is currently on the pulpit speaking to the masses. He has a bit of a country twang. He sounds like a hick, but an articulate, intelligent hick.

Unlike Obama’s first inauguration, less people are in the crowd (although there are still many attendees) and the cold weather isn’t as brutal.

Katy Perry, Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson are all inauguration performers. Kelly brought her fiance Brandon Blackstock with her. Eva Longoria was also in attendance. Sasha and Malia Obama are getting so big. Check it out.

Michelle Obama Writes Letter to Families of Sandy Hook Victims

by on

Michelle Obama wrote an emotional letter to the families of Sandy Hook Elementary school victims. With Christmas only days away, their holiday is tainted by one of the most horrific events in our nation's history; but the First Lady reminds them that they are not alone.

We all can't imagine how it most feel to lose your child so senselessly and violently (each child was shot between 3 to 11 times). May the families of the victims forge strong bonds and find solace with each other. They have faced a tragedy that most people in this world can not relate to.

Michelle wrote:

Over the past week, we as Americans have been united in our grief as Newtown has laid to rest so many beautiful, innocent children, along with the heroic educators who worked every day to help them achieve their dreams.

As a mother of two young daughters, my heart aches for you and your families. Like so many Americans, I wish there were something — anything — I could do or say to ease your anguish.

But I know that I cannot to imagine the depths of your grief. I know that for many of you, the pain you are enduring right now seems unbearable; and many of you may be asking yourselves, how can we go on — as families and as a community?

Over the past week, I have been awed and inspired by Newtown's heroes: the first responders who risked their lives at a moment's notice; the educators whose devotion to their students shone brightest in one of our nation's darkest hours; the children who comforted each other despite their fear; the families coming together to support each other as they grieve.

And I am so proud of the outpouring of love and support that has come from every corner of America: from first responders from neighboring cities rushing to help however they could; from people in Cleveland and Charlotte and Juneau and so many other communities joining together to honor Newtown with their thoughts and prayers; and in living rooms and houses of worship and the halls of our government, where we are beginning to have those difficult conversations about how we can build a safer, more peaceful tomorrow for all our children.

And I want you to know that this is just the beginning. As my husband has said, in the coming weeks, he will use all the powers of his office to engage citizens from across this country to find ways to prevent tragedies like this one. And please know that every minute of every day, we are thinking of you, and praying for you, and holding you and your families in our hearts as you begin the slow and wrenching work of healing and moving forward.

In the months and years ahead, may the memories of those beautiful children and those heroic adults be a blessing for their families, for your community, and for our country, and may God bless you all.
