‘Zombieland 2’ Digital Release Date & Review

It’s been over a decade now since we’ve last seen our favorite characters from the comedy horror film “Zombieland.” It’s been 10-plus years since Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock hit the screen and made the zombie apocalypse look excitingly fun. And now these zombie wrecking families are back again for its sequel, “Zombieland: Double Tap.”

There are mixed reactions about the movie and how it was. I know you’ve got your ideas too, so let’s get into the reviews since the “Zombieland 2” digital release date was Dec. 24, 2019.

What We Thought of Zombieland 2

So what do you think; was “Zombieland: Double Tap” worth the endless wait? Yes and yes!

That is our reaction to this cult horror-comedy film. We can say this was the best nostalgic trip of the century. The humor in the movie still takes you back to that of 2009, and the new faces give the movie more and more excitement – like the not so bright Madison (Zoey Dutch), the hard survivalist Nevada (Rosario Dawson), and the doppelgangers of our very own Columbus and Tallahassee with Albuquerque (Luke Wilson) and Flagstaff (Thomas Middleditch).

All of them contributed to the action-packed, funny moments in the movie. We can truly agree with Brandon Davis, owner of Comicbook.com, that “‘Double-Tap’ is like time traveling to 2009,” and is truly remarkable you might say. You’ve got to love the way the newcomers still added that fun and excitement to this comedy horror film, still making it have that exact 10 year’s experience.

Then the twist to the story was also outstanding, just seeing how the producer made that twist from your regular mapped out zombie comedy by adding a different set of deadly zombies was just too exciting to miss out.

Digital Spy – @DigitalSpy

“#Zombieland2 is a nostalgic trip back to 2009 despite being set in 2019, and the 10 years since haven’t updated its sense of humor. The fresh faces of Zoey Deutch and Rosario Dawson bring a welcome new dynamic to the group. If you loved the first film, you’ll be satisfied with the sequel.”

Scott Menzel – @TheOtherScottM

“‘Zombieland: Double Tap’ is a bloody blast. This long-awaited sequel is well worth the 10-year wait. A twisted blend of comedy & horror with bigger & badder zombies. The entire cast is great, but Zoey Deutch as Madison steals every scene & is the film’s MVP.”

Perri Nemiroff – @PNemiroff

“Fell for Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita & Little Rock big time in 2009 & it’s an utter delight reuniting with them 10 years later. #Zombieland2 feels a bit like the 1st film all over again, but you know what? It’s still super effective. Had a blast & can’t wait to watch it again.”
